ABOUT US

The Clarksville Montgomery County Voter Apathy Project, founded by Tyler Rose, was created due to the problematic voting situation in Clarksville, TN. Voter apathy can be defined as low voter turnout among eligible voters or a lack of interest when it comes to voting. According to the Washington Post, Tennessee has very high voter apathy and one of the lowest voter turnouts in the United States. Furthermore, Montgomery County had around 45% of the population vote in the 2016 election, which is the lowest in the state of Tennessee along with other districts. To some people this may not seem like an important issue, however, for the political arena of Montgomery County this is a  significant  topic that needs to be addressed. DON'T be the absent 55%!

Voting is one of the most vital things to do, especially as a young adult, because every vote counts. Young voters account for half of the voting population, making them a powerful political factor. The CMC VA Project is dedicated to getting everyone to vote and encouraging everyone to carry out their civic duty!
